Aged Garlic Extract
Studies have suggested that aged garlic extract and its constituents may provide nutritional support for the cardiovascular system by maintaining healthy cholesterol levels, promoting healthy circulation, and by quenching free radicals that may oxidize LDL cholesterol and damage heart tissue. L-Carnitine
L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring carrier molecule that is essential in fat metabolism and energy production. L-Carnitine can help to assure adequate carnitine for heart energy. Carnitine shuttles raw materials (mainly free fatty acids) into the mitochondria (power house of cells) for the production of energy. Carnitine also removes from cells the resulting waste products that are potentially toxic.

a-Lipoic acid
a-Lipoic acid plays an important role as an indispensable co-factor in the Kreb's cycle, assisting in the production of energy for cells. It is also a potent antioxidant that protects heart tissue from oxidative or free radical damage. a-Lipoic acid is called the "Universal Antioxidant" since it can quench free radicals in both fat (such as cell membranes) and in water (such as in plasma). Vitamin C, on the other hand, can only quench free radicals in water mediums and vitamin E in fat mediums. a-Lipoic acid also recycles vitamin C, vitamin E, and CoQ10, so these antioxidants resume their fighting activity.

Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant that protects the body against damage from free radicals and oxidants. Specifically, it prevents oxidation of LDL cholesterol, making it less likely to cause damage to veins. It's antiplatelet effects thin blood reducing risk of clots. Further, it may provide protection for those with former heart attacks.

Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 may support healthy cardiovascular function by reducing excessive homocysteine levels. B6 is necessary to degrade homocysteine to cysteine so that it won't accumulate excessively. Deficiencies in B6 have been associated with increased risk of heart diseases.

Vitamin B12
B12 is necessary for maintaining healthy blood cells and for releasing energy from nutrients. B12 deficiency is strongly related to elevated homocysteine levels, and homocysteine levels have been shown to decline upon supplementation with B12. In addition, a high intake of folate, though safe, can mask a deficiency of vitamin B12 making B12 a prudent addition to a supplement with folic acid.

Folic Acid
